WHY NOW?
All of our communities benefit every year from donors who created legacy gifts: gifts of permanence (endowments) that support our annual campaigns, operations and community programs. Contributions from endowments are critical source of ongoing annual funding that helps to make possible much of the vibrant, diverse Jewish experience from which we benefit today.
Furthermore, at this very moment, our collective ability to respond to this evolving pandemic is made possible because of the generosity and foresight of our donors who created endowments.
A legacy gift is a fundamental act of faith – when we leave these gifts, we do not know what is going to happen in the future, but we are driven by a belief in the future of the Jewish people.
HOW IT WORKS
There are many giving options for donors to deepen their connection to Jewish life and community. Federations and Jewish Community Foundations across the Jewish ecosystem work with donors to find the best vehicles that meets their goals and needs.
These include, but are not limited to Donor Advised Funds (DAF), Supporting Organization (SO) and varied endowments, like Lion of Judah Endowment, Unrestricted Endowments and others.
YOUR PHILANTHROPIC ADVISOR
When considering gift planning strategies, you should always consult with your own legal and tax advisors. A philanthropic advisor at Jewish Community would be happy to work with you and your professional advisors to design a gift plan that will serve your needs and interests, as well as those of the Jewish community.
